CATS The spaying of cats is strongly recommended as this prevents any unwanted kittens which are hard to find homes for. Also cats come into season more often than dogs so often become pregnant again while still feeding kittens or soon after the last litter has been re-homed. Cat castration is a quick and easy procedure. This will effectively stop them from marking their territory (spraying urine), roaming and fighting. The fighting frequently results in the formation of serious abscesses. Castration will also prevent them from impregnating un-neutered females. We recommend that spaying/castration of your cat is carried out at five and a half to six months of age.
Rabbits It is advisable to spay your rabbit, which can be done from four months of age, as they are prone to developing uterine problems later in life. Neutering male and female rabbits can control behavioural problems too.
